The Finance Department has granted time till 28 February 2023 to submit income certificate to the beneficiaries who have been sanctioned Social Security Pension till 31 December 2019. After September 1, 2022, the income certificate obtained from the village offices should be produced. Pension will be withheld only for those who do not submit income certificate by February 28, 2023. All currently eligible beneficiaries will get pension till February 2023.
The Finance Department also clarified that those who have been granted pension from January 1, 2020 need not submit their income certificate again. At the same time, since six months have been allowed to submit the income certificate, unnecessary rush should be avoided in the village offices and Akshaya Kendras.
