DP World is an Emirati multinational logistics company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It specialises in cargo logistics, port terminal operations, maritime services and free trade zones. Formed in 2005 by the merger of Dubai Ports Authority and Dubai Ports International, DP World handles 70 million containers that are brought in by around 70,000 vessels annually. This equates to roughly 10% of global container traffic accounted for by their 82 marine and inland terminals present in over 40 countries. Senior Project Engineer – Offshore

Key Accountabilities

Leading a multi discipline engineering team for major new build & conversion scope at yard.

Sound knowledge of piping and equipment: basis of design, equipment sizing and selection for pumps, heat exchangers, compressors, engines, evaporators, valves, pressure/flow control devices.

Specify equipment data sheets and specifications, vendor data review, equipment manufacturing, factory acceptance tests, package engineering.

Mechanical design and calculations of machinery spaces, equipment supports, material handling devices, installation and maintenance methodologies.

Knowledge of EIT integration engineering.

Knowledge of structural engineering

Experience with oil and gas and LNG systems.

Technical review of quotations and liaison with chosen vendors.

Act as project engineering manager on conversion projects.

Manage and supervise engineering subcontractors.

Prepare engineering deliverables / man-hour estimate /schedule for projects.

Control and monitor man-hour consumption versus project achieved progress.

Participate in design reviews and take necessary follow up actions.

Implement day-to-day operations assigned for the engineering department/section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

Qualification / Experience & Skills

Master of Science degree in Related Engineering field from reputable universities.

10-15 Years of experience in related fields including work in engineering companies and EPC contractors

In-depth knowledge of conversion engineering scope..

In depth knowledge of materials / piping system design and construction.

Knowledge of oil and gas process / LNG/cryogenic fluids/natural gas containment, handling, liquefaction and regasification systems in line with latest technologies available in the industry.

Well versed with the rules and regulations of leading Classification Societies, IACS and SOLAS.

Strong background with resolution of technical issues during project engineering and execution phases.

Project management & planning skills.

Responsible to have knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues and security technology and update management on risk and threat that could impact company business.

Responsible to provide updates on the latest industry standards in term of advanced technological security systems.

Supervisor – Ducting & Insulation

Key Accountabilities

Supervise day-to-day operations assigned for the Ducting & Insulation team to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

Read specifications, work list and pre-planning job (Sequence of job, manpower, equipment) including plan for one-week manpower requirements.

Develop, interpret, and follow method statements and procedures in addition to understanding specifications, drawings and all other disciplines related to project and engineering documentation.

Co-ordinate work progress with SRM/PM, superintendent, other trades within his own department.

Liaise with Invoicers / estimators to ensure that department and commercial targets are synchronized and met.

Develop detailed completion program with manpower loading.

Participate in accident investigation, root cause analysis, and provide assistance in preparing necessary reports.

Review vessel repair plan, build strategies in order to formalize the optimum utilization of yard equipment and resources.

Provide personnel appraisal and training requirement, motivate, and develop subordinates.

Qualificaiton / Experiences & Skills

Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
10 years’ experience in Marine HVAC ducting/ insulation works with at least 5 years’ of experience as Supervisor or Engineer in Ship Yard
Relevant training in Insulation/ fabrication field.

Technical Superintendent Senior

P&O Maritime Logistics is a leading provider of marine solutions with focus on offshore energy, port services and logistics. The Technical Superintendent is responsible for supporting the Company’s reliability strategy including, condition-based maintenance including vibration analysis, reliability-centred maintenance, and condition-based Class. Act as the focal point for the Company planned maintenance system including dry docking for the group of vessels, including ongoing management and improvements.

Responsible for the overall management and technical operations of the vessels under his responsibility. This includes overseeing the daily maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey scheduling, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking when required.

Ensure Company owned and managed vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner and in full compliance with Class and Statutory regulations.

Ensure the assigned vessels are fully operational technically or otherwise managed accordingly to the management agreement requirements.

To maintain the classification status of the vessels under his charge and to ensure that the survey status reports are sent to the vessels on a monthly basis.

Logistics Solution Engineer – Middle East and Africa Region

The role will work closely with country commercial teams, account managers, sales, business development, etc. to identify, qualify, and pitch compelling value propositions to both new and existing customers as well as build the required logistics capabilities needed. The role will also require supporting strategic development of logistics and supply chain solutions in DPW MEA by developing and growing new and existing logistics capabilities in the MEA Region.

The role will work closely with other departments (ex. SEZ, PEZ, Head office, BDV, etc.) to coordinate strategy and priorities for the MEA region in logistics and help bring these strategies to life. The role will be customer facing and will involve working with commercial and business development teams for nominated customers and projects (existing and new). As Logistics solutions Engineer you will work closely with the countries to address our customers requirements by developing and deploying cost-effective, high-quality landside transport, customs house brokerage and high quality warehousing solutions for our customers to be effectively implemented and executed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

Develop solutions in line with logistics strategy and customer needs

The role has a primary focus on ensuring DP World’s data privacy program adheres to applicable data privacy regulations (UAE, UK, EU, etc.), while actively supporting Group initiatives. The individual in the role will also work to establish relevant global policies and procedures across Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, and Economic Sanctions matters, helping ensure that DP World’s Group Compliance program is effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations. This provides the necessary support to help ensure that DP World conducts its business at the highest level of integrity and in full compliance with the applicable national and international laws and regulations, as well as the Group’s internal policies, professional standards and best industry practices.

Key Accountabilities:

Evaluate, interpret and proactively communicate the practical impact of compliance-focused laws and regulations, including changes to best compliance practices and professional standards, and develop efficient solutions to effectively mitigate risk.
Develop, implement, and maintain a ‘fit for purpose’, risk-based data privacy program in accordance with applicable data privacy laws, including UAE, UK, European and other relevant regulations.

Draft policies and implement standard operating procedures, incorporating essential elements of appliable data privacy regulations. Includes procedures associated with defining principles of data processing, data subjects’ rights, data protection by design and default, records of processing activities, security of processing, and notification and communication of data breaches.
