In 1963, Dar Al Shifa Hospital (DASH) was established as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. Originally, it was a maternity hospital located in Sharq, Kuwait city. Since that time, the hospital became a leading health care organization in the region.

In 1992, DASH went through a notable expansion under the ownership of Mr. Ali Jeraq who had a visionary goal to make healthcare services accessible to every individual in the community. As a result, DASH developed into a fully-fledged general hospital that included a wide scope of services.

Job Description

Job Scope:

Under indirect supervision, develop, direct and/or maintain a marketing program. Serve as a media contact. Write and/or edit marketing materials such as press releases, brochures, flyers, and other documents. Manage special marketing events.

Job Responsibilities:

Determines target markets to expand audience base, and conduct market research activities, including selection of appropriate me

Responds to requests for information from media personnel and the public; distributes promotional materials, including flyers, brochures and press kits; disseminates information via the appropriate media.

Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness, prepares program proposals and produces periodic evaluation reports to management.

Negotiates with vendors and contractors to coordinate media cost, placement, and scheduling.

Designs, writes and oversees the production of printed promotional materials including catalogs, brochures, flyers, and program and media guides.

Maintains and ensures the accuracy of database records and files, including mailing lists and distribution information.

Provides support for promotional special events such as open houses, book signings, fundraisers, outreach and community events, tours, press conferences, banquets, exhibits, product or service fairs, and events.

Assists in the development and management of the department budget; research and prepare budget proposals.

Promotes community awareness of marketing programs pertaining to The Dar Al- Shifa’s activities.

Ensures safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are complied.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Direct Reporting Authority.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management is required

1-3 years’ experience in the marketing field

Job-Specific/Technical Skills

Excellent Computer Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management

Knowledge of marketing and media sources.

Knowledge of data management techniques.

Ability to plan and evaluate programs.

Ability to use independent judgment and to gather, manage and impart information to the media and various other internal and external audiences.

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate media activities and special events.

Knowledge of printing procedures and requirements

Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
